Each band is charged at its own price: crossing a tier doesn't recalculate all the disk, only the new gigabytes come in cheaper.

A domain doesn't use anything just by existing: what its visits use you already pay for with the CPU and memory controls, and charging you per website as well would be charging twice for the same thing. Put as many projects as you like in the same account; what you pay for is the power they use between them.

For peaks
The peak you see coming, and the one you don't.
Two mechanisms, one for each case. Both revert automatically: when the peak passes, your configuration goes back to what it was.
Automatic scaling
It adjusts itself from day one.
Your service comes with auto-scaling on, with one step of headroom. If your website runs short, it moves up a step on its own; when the peak passes, it steps back down. You decide how far it can go, and you can turn it off whenever you like.
- Viene puesto, con un escalón. No hay nada que configurar para que funcione, y el techo lo subes o lo bajas tú.
- Sabes el máximo antes de nada: en el resumen de tu servicio, en euros. Con el techo de fábrica son 10 € al mes como mucho.
- Se cobra por horas: solo el tiempo que de verdad tuviste los recursos de más.
- Y con tope: nunca te costará más de lo que costaría tener ese nivel contratado todo el mes.
A peak, seen from your resources
billed by the hour- The ceiling you authorise: it never goes past it.
- It scales up in steps and gives them back once the peak passes.
- The shaded hours are the only ones charged.
The cap guarantee
Automatic scaling will never cost you more than having that level ordered all month.
Even if it scales up and down a hundred times. If the individual hours were to add up to the price of a full month at that level, you're charged the full month and not a cent more.
Temporary boost
Double your resources whenever it suits you.
A campaign, a launch, being in the news: if you know it's coming, turn it on yourself. For 24, 48 or 72 hours your account runs with double the CPU and memory, and when it ends it goes back to your configuration by itself.
- ×2 CPU and memory for as long as you choose. The disk is not touched: it grows when you increase it.
- 24 hours a month included with your service, which do not carry over from one month to the next.
- €4.50 per day for the hours beyond that. On your invoice, like everything else.

How is it different from traditional hosting?
You choose the resources, one by one. In a fixed plan, CPU, memory and disk come bundled: if you need more memory, you end up paying for CPU you will not use as well. Here you increase only what you are short of, when you are short of it, and reduce it just as quickly.
When is it worth it compared with a fixed plan?
When you have outgrown our largest plan, or when your usage varies a lot over the year. If your website fits comfortably in a fixed plan, we will tell you ourselves when you configure it: the fixed plan works out cheaper and we have no interest in selling you the opposite.
How am I billed if I make a change mid-month?
You are not charged anything at that moment. The change applies in seconds and the adjustment goes on your next invoice, prorated by the day: if you scaled up, what you had extra is added; if you scaled down, it is deducted. One invoice a month, like your electricity bill, with no one-off charges.
What is automatic scaling and how much can it cost me?
You set a ceiling. If your website hits its limit for a sustained period, we step it up without you having to do anything, and step it back down when the peak passes. It is charged by the hour and can never cost you more than having that level ordered for the whole month would: that is the guarantee, not an extra.
What if I can see a specific peak coming?
You switch on a temporary boost: it doubles your resources for 24, 48 or 72 hours and then returns to your configuration on its own. You get two included every year. It is meant for launches, campaigns or a news story that is going to bring a sudden rush of visitors.
Are the resources I order guaranteed?
Yes. Elastic hosting runs on low-density servers, with far fewer accounts per machine than normal shared hosting. That is why it costs what it does.
Can I go back to a fixed plan?
Whenever you like, and without migrating anything: it is the same account on the same server. It is adjusted on the following invoice like any other change.
Why can I only pay monthly?
Because flexibility and long-term commitment are incompatible. On fixed plans we reward commitment with discounts of up to 38%; here what you are buying is the ability to change your mind whenever you like, and that is paid month by month.
