Data collected, purpose and retention

hostsuar.com has a number of data collection systems, which depend on the user's needs and for which prior consent to processing will always be requested.

Contact form

The contact form gives you a way to get help from us. The information you provide is used only to reply to your request by email and will never be used for commercial purposes.

The data will be kept for 12 months, unless it must be kept blocked for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Email communications

When you ask us for help by email, the data collected will be used only to reply to the request. It will never be used for any other purpose and, once the request for help has been completed, it will not undergo any further processing.

The data will be kept for 12 months, unless it must be kept blocked for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Newsletter

A newsletter with news and promotions would be sent at varying intervals (we are against spam, so such mailings are sent at most once a fortnight), provided that the customer has given their unambiguous consent by subscribing to the newsletter and confirming their email address through the forms and mechanisms we provide for this purpose.

This processing will continue until the customer expresses their wish to withdraw, either through the unsubscribe links included in every email, by requesting it by email or by cancelling the subscription from the client area.

Anonymous web analytics

We use Fathom Analytics, a web analytics service that fully respects the user's privacy. This system does not use cookies, does not store IP addresses, does not collect personally identifiable information and automatically complies with the GDPR. Data is processed anonymously and in aggregate, solely to understand general usage trends on the site and improve the user experience.

Affiliate tracking

When you visit our site through an affiliate link, we temporarily store that information in a technical cookie so that any commission can be assigned correctly. This information is deleted automatically after 7 days or when a transaction is completed.

Orders and sign-ups

The data collected when you sign up for our services is used to provide them, and for invoicing, service notifications, support, etc.

On the form, through the checkboxes provided for this purpose, the customer will be informed in detail and will give explicit permission for their data to be processed, as otherwise we would be unable to provide the service.

The data will be kept for as long as the contractual relationship lasts, plus a maximum of 10 additional years after the contract ends, in accordance with civil, commercial and tax legislation.

Payments

Hostsuar offers several payment methods. In none of them is payment data processed by Hostsuar, which is only notified of whether or not a payment was made successfully, without receiving any information that could compromise the user. That data is handled directly by the gateway for each payment method:

  • PayPal (Europe) S.à.r.l., for payments via PayPal.
  • Redsys Servicios de Procesamiento S.L., for credit or debit card payments.
  • GoCardless Ltd, for SEPA direct debit payments.

User obligations

To provide personal data you must be at least 13 years old or, where applicable, have sufficient legal capacity to enter into contracts.

The personal data requested must always be accurate and is necessary to handle your requests and provide the services you may order, so if you do not provide it, we will not be able to assist you properly or provide the service requested.

Recipients of your data

Your data is confidential and will not be disclosed to third parties, unless this is strictly necessary to manage the services ordered or there is a legal obligation to do so.
