JetBackup 5, backup management turned into an art

For several years now we have relied on JetBackup as our data protection solution, taking backups continuously.
Over this time we have watched it evolve and seen the software improve by leaps and bounds, always listening to our suggestions.
JetBackup 5 is the result of everything the JetApps team has learnt. Among the new features, we would like to highlight:
- Shorter backup times, which will let us increase the number of restore points.
- Fuller integration with cPanel: clients now have more control when restoring granularly any content, from settings, MySQL users, FTP, cron jobs and DNS zones, among others.
- Merge option: until now, restoring meant losing the existing content. Now you can restore content and merge what is there with what is in the backup, which is especially useful, for example, for recovering email from a backup without losing what you already have.
- Integration with our antivirus, so infected files can be restored automatically.

JetBackup 4 and 5 are not compatible, so with version 5 backups start from scratch. While we build up a significant number of backups, JetBackup 4 and 5 will run side by side: the former so old backups can be restored, the latter as the active backup engine.
