JetBackup for WordPress: restore your backups from the WordPress admin

News 2 min read

As you may know, for years we have relied on JetBackup as our enterprise backup solution, taking daily backups of all hosting services, stored encrypted on external servers with multiple historical restore points.

These backups have always been available for you to restore content from cPanel using JetBackup 5, so you can recover files, databases, email or settings granularly after incidents, failed updates or accidental deletions.

There is now a much simpler way to restore your WordPress backups. Before, when using JetBackup 5 from cPanel, you had to work out manually which database and which files belonged to your WordPress installation in order to restore them selectively. With JetBackup for WordPress, an official plugin developed by JetApps, all of this becomes completely simple. The plugin automatically detects your WordPress files and database and restores them directly from the admin panel, without having to identify anything or open cPanel.

The plugin connects automatically to our backup system and shows you all the available restore points. From there you choose the date you need and restore; the system takes care of everything intelligently.

The best part is that the plugin restores only that specific WordPress installation, not the whole hosting account. This means that if you have several WordPress installations on your service, each one can be restored independently without affecting the others, recovering only the files and databases of that particular website.

JetBackup for WordPress is available in the official WordPress plugin directory for all hosting users running WordPress. Installation and setup are immediate and there is no extra cost.

If you want all the details on installing, configuring and using the plugin step by step, we have written a full manual: JetBackup for WordPress: restoring backups from WordPress.
