Price increase for .com, .net and .info domains

Information 2 min read

Raising the price of any of our services is something we always try to avoid above all else. If you have been a client for years, we are sure you will struggle to remember a price increase on hosting or domains.

With domains, this does not mean our costs stay the same. Year after year, the registration, renewal and transfer fees are raised by a percentage by the organisations that manage each extension. One example is VeriSign, which manages .com and .net domains and has once again raised its price as of 1 September 2023, this time by 7%.

We always try to absorb these increases. As we have said on other occasions, although domains are key to everything working, our margins on them are so low that they are not part of our core business or livelihood.

Unfortunately, we have reached the point where registering or renewing a domain costs us more than what is paid for it, and as a small business we cannot keep absorbing that loss. So, much to our regret, we have to raise the price of some extensions. The increase will take effect from 1 February 2024, giving time to those who wish to transfer their domains if they see fit.

From 1 February 2024, prices will be:

  • .com: €12/year
  • .net: €15/year
  • .info: €20/year

(Taxes not included)

Thank you in advance for your understanding and for the trust you place in our services.

We keep improving.
