Open Source Point of Sale is a web application for managing sales in physical or online shops, built in PHP with CodeIgniter and using MySQL. It's ideal for retailers who want to keep track of inventory, sales, invoicing and customers in one place, without relying on proprietary software.

It lets you handle stock, taxes (including VAT and GST), quotes, receipts, expenses, suppliers, customers and detailed reports. You can also print or send invoices, generate barcodes, control user access, use different languages and visual themes, integrate with Mailchimp and protect access with reCAPTCHA. It's useful for both shops and restaurants, as it includes table management and customer rewards.
