Access log for FTP, cPanel, SSH and email

News 1 min read

We recently introduced suspicious login alerts to help you quickly identify when some login details have been compromised.

These alerts use the information gathered by one of the "legs" of our security system. Until now it was only available as an internal auditing tool, but from today it's at your disposal, so you can identify the location of any successful connection (meaning a connection with a valid username and password) made to any of the users and email accounts of your hosting services.

The access log is in the "Access log" section of the hosting service page in the client area. There you'll see a list showing the date and time of the last access from each IP, the location in each case, the user used to log in and which service it connected to.

The log records every successful connection to cPanel, FTP, SSH, webmail, the incoming mail server (POP and IMAP) and the outgoing mail server (SMTP), and you can filter by type of access and search by IP or user.

This tool is one more step to give administrators direct control over the security of their services, with the ability to audit the logins that take place and identify users that may have been compromised.

We keep improving.
