Jupiter, the cPanel interface replacing Paper Lantern

Until now, the cPanel interface we offered was Paper Lantern, an intuitive icon-based design whose usefulness has been well proven in recent years. Meanwhile, cPanel was developing Jupiter, a new interface that would first complement Paper Lantern but would eventually replace it.

Jupiter is now mature and stable enough, so cPanel recently announced that Paper Lantern will be removed for good at the end of this year.

We know interface changes are always controversial, because people are used to what they have and because of the learning curve involved, but Jupiter comes with a clean, simple, intuitive design that is strongly focused on speed and works on every device, with a search box that takes on special importance as the central hub.

For now only new accounts will have Jupiter by default. As the date for removing Paper Lantern approaches, we will gradually move the rest to the new interface so the change is progressive.
