Piwigo is web photo gallery software, ideal if you need to organise, display and share your images your way. It is open source and you can install it on your own server. You can upload photos easily from your browser, desktop apps or via FTP.

With Piwigo you can organise your photos into albums (with unlimited sub-albums), apply batch actions (such as changing the author or tags), and control the privacy of each photo or album. It supports metadata and geolocation on maps, and you can add features with themes and plugins. Visitors can comment, rate and mark favourites. Its user and permission management also makes it suitable for teams.
