MySQL / MariaDB optimisation using AI
Until now MySQL and MariaDB were configured by hand, constantly adjusting configuration parameters to optimise performance based on how each system was used. It's an arduous process that requires a lot of experience and has something of an "art" to it, always looking for balance with every change, analysing usage statistics and adjusting each parameter through a series of formulas to improve performance little by little.
With the advances in artificial intelligence, this task can be taken to excellence, and that's what we've done, implementing an advanced database optimisation system on all our systems, which we rolled out over the last few days after final testing.
This new system works in real time without you having to do anything. It analyses every SQL query and the database engine's statistics and, using advanced machine learning algorithms, adjusts the MySQL and MariaDB configuration. This has allowed us to achieve significant improvements in query performance, notably reductions in response time of between 20% and 50%.
Best of all, this system improves the more data we collect, so it will always be looking for configurations suited to each system's usage to keep improving database speed and functionality.
